As chief technology officer for Columbia Ultimate, Jim Adamson is responsible for the development of the company's software products and setting the overall technology direction for the company.

Adamson joined Columbia Ultimate in 1984 and spent 16 years as both manager and vice president of product development, where he was directly responsible for overall definition, analysis, and development of Columbia Ultimate's software products. Adamson has also worked in Columbia Ultimate's support, custom programming, and business analysis groups.

Prior to joining Columbia Ultimate, Adamson was an estimator and cost accountant in the commercial printing industry where he was also involved in implementing computer technology and software development in the estimating and cost accounting processes.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration.
